The music that you have been listening to is called the Riddle Song ~ here are the words to the song;
The Riddle Song
Traditional I gave my love a cherry that had no stone.I gave my love a chicken that had no bone.I gave my love a baby with no cryin'.And I told my love a story that has no end.How can there be a cherry that has no stone?How cab ther be a chicken that has no bone?How can there be a baby with no cryin'?How can you tell a story that has no end?
A cherry when it's bloomin, there ain't no stoneA chicken when it's pipping, there ain't no bone.And when a baby's sleeping, there's no crying.And when I say I love you, there ain't no end.
from what I could find on the internet this tune was played during Mr. Grants lifetime also. This particular version is said to be from the Kentucky Mountains, but a much earlier version is found in a 15th century manuscript.
